Collaborations

Build it with us

We say most of our profits will go back to the people who create content. Here’s what that looks like: what we’ve made, what you can do today, and what we’re planning next.

We made it for Georgian, because nobody else had

When I started learning Georgian, the material I needed didn’t exist. So we made it: video explanations of the alphabet, the word building and the whole verb system, written, recorded and edited by us. Along the way we got good at editing and producing learning videos. This is the kind of content we want to keep making, for every language.

A lazy guide to the alphabet

Normally you’d spend the first two or three weeks with a teacher learning the script. But watch this twice, with an association for every letter, and learn the alphabet while practising phrases. The same is true for the Cyrillic alphabet.

Morphology: our must-see overview

Georgian builds long words from roots and rules. Learn the patterns, and long, scary words become logical. 14 minutes, and something like this could exist for any language.

Verb shorts

Two examples of the 22 short videos that explain the Georgian verb system, the hardest part of the language: the block system, and the directional preverbs.

Record three phrasesets, get 3 months of Premium

Most of our starter phrasesets are AI-generated for now. Replace three of them with your voice, in your native language, and get 3 months of Premium. It takes about 30 minutes. Any language works.

  1. Pick three starter sets of your native language in the Content Library. The preview shows every phrase; you don’t need to download them.
  2. Record the first set in your own voice, naturally, the way you’d say it to a friend. Check every recording: clear, no background noise, and the text matches what you said.
  3. Share it. On the Sharing tab, tap Create shared set and use the starter set’s title.
  4. Email us the link at team@lingophant.com. We send you a code for 3 months of Premium; enter it in the app under Profile.
  5. Record the other two sets the same way, now without the daily limit, and send us those links too.

Your reward

3months of Premium

  • About 30 minutes of recording
  • Any language, your native one
  • The code arrives after your first set

Native speakers only, please: your recordings become the voice of the language for everyone who learns it here.

Make content with us

Creators

We want to sponsor creators of high-quality language content: grammar explanations, videos from the country, travel vlogs. And we want to help people who’d like to become one. Tell us what you make.

Let’s produce a course together

Making a course or a video series? We know editing and production, and we can help. How much we do sets a fair rate, which we agree with you.

What we’re planning

None of this has started yet. If you want to be part of it, write to us.

Planned

Language expeditions

Record a language before it disappears. For example Bats, spoken in eastern Georgia, is severely endangered (UNESCO): a few hundred people speak it, most of them over 50. With a small team and Lingophant, we could record five hours of conversation and 200-300 phrases in an adventurous production while also capturing their stories and insights.

Planned

Learn it, then go there

Learn a language with Lingophant for a few months, then go on a sponsored trip to make content in the country itself. We wanna show how quickly you can have fun in the language and this might be the best way.

Planned

Schools in Europe

Imagine a 20% efficiency boost by memorizing vocabulary and training listening skills better. I think it’s possible, because a lot is still written by hand without pronunciation and the whole world of YouTube is left aside. In addition, students get a tool for continued learning, wherever their future takes them.

Planned

Academic proof

We’re ready to measure how well the method works, together with researchers at universities. Interested? Please contact us.

Something else in mind?

We’re happy to talk about any collaboration. We read every email.
