How to delete your account and data
Deleting your Lingophant account does the following:
- Deletes your account name, password hash (we don’t store your password) and email address
- Deletes all the phrasesets you created
- Deletes all the phrases you uploaded
After you delete your account, your shared phrasesets disappear from other users’ accounts. Only the phrases they already downloaded to their phone stay available to them.
What stays on your phone. Your own phrases on your phone aren’t affected: they only exist on your device, they’re private, and we have no access to them. To remove them too, delete the app.
What we keep. Records of subscription payments, for 7 years, as Austrian accounting law requires. See our Privacy Policy.
Your subscription. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Premium subscription. Cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
How to delete your account
- Open the app and log in to your account.
- Go to your profile and tap Delete account.
- Type your username to confirm.
No access to the app any more? Email team@lingophant.com from your account’s email address, and we’ll delete your account for you.
